The Pretty Platter was born out of a simple moment—and a very messy burger.

​

A few years ago, my daughter, Alexandra, started her handmade jewelry business. As any proud mom would, I was there by her side at every market, helping her set up and cheer her on. But there was one part of vendor life we didn’t love: the food. It was always carnival-style—greasy, delicious, and nearly impossible to eat without making a mess. Without fail, every time we took a bite, a new customer would walk up to the booth, and there we were—mouths full, hands dirty, trying to sell jewelry.

That’s when I had an idea.

I was born in Italy, where food is so much more than just nourishment—it’s connection. It’s tradition. It’s how we celebrate, gather, and show love. I wanted to bring that warmth, beauty, and intention into the fast-paced, on-the-go world of markets and events. And I wanted it to be pretty.

So I created The Pretty Platter—a fresh take on charcuterie that blends trending presentation with timeless Italian culture. Whether we’re serving custom cups from our mobile cart, building stunning grazing tables, or creating personalized boards for special occasions, our mission is simple: bring people together through food that’s both elegant and approachable.
